Pearl Millet Puttu
Ingredients:

1 cup Pearl Millet Flour ( Kambu Powder)

1/4 cup Grated Coconut
 - 
	
Water, as needed
 - 
	
Salt, to taste
 
Instructions:

Prepare the Mixture:

In a separate bowl, take Pearl Millet flour. Gradually add water and mix to make a crumbly texture.
 - 
		
Combine the grated coconut with the Pearl Millet flour mixture. Add salt to taste and mix well.

Steam the Puttu:
- 
		
Use a Puttu maker or any cylindrical steamer.
 - 
		
Fill the bottom pot with water (1-2 inches) and bring it to a boil.
 - 
		
Layer the Puttu maker with the prepared carrot-rice mixture.

Layering:
- 
		
Begin with a layer of the mixture, followed by a layer of grated coconut.
 - 
		
Repeat the layers until the container is almost full, finishing with a layer of coconut on top.

Steam:

Close the lid and steam for about 8-10 minutes until the Puttu is cooked. Steam should escape from the top holes.

Serve:

Gently push the steamed Pearl Millet Puttu out of the cylinder onto a plate.
